A Passionate Musician, Artist and Author

Josie Wild Rose is a multifaceted artist. She began studying music as a child and has been writing and performing her songs as a solo artist and with bands for more than 2 decades. She has performed in various cities and towns throughout Canada, the United States and Taiwan. While songwriting and vocals are her forte, she enjoys playing guitar and piano, and dabbles on the drums. In the late 1990s, Josie recorded in Nashville with the late Gary Buck and in recent years in Calgary, with Daron Schofield and Danny Patton. Josie has just released her first album and musical work of art; Josie Wild Rose.

Josie is also a landscape painter who finds inspiration for both her songs and paintings in nature and seasons. She blends her inspirations with her emotions and life experiences to create lyrics and songs. Josie also enjoys writing poetry, children’s books and musical plays. She is currently working on refining her musical scripts and the drawings for her children's books. Being brought up near the mountains and in the prairies, Josie is a country girl at heart. She spends most of her time in the magical, musical world of song.
